The rear carrier is finished in black paint instead of chrome to keep the classic look of the W series.
There was a guy who contacted World Walk at a time when it wasn’t hiring, saying he wanted an interview because he liked motorcycles.
He now works as a staff member at World Walk.
My vehicle is KAWASAKI W800.His wife rides on KWASAKI W400.
He suggested a black painted rear rack to match the W800.
Classic bikes are no longer chrome rear carriers
His W800 is a 2011 Special Edition.
The engine is blacked out except for a portion of the cylinder head, and the fuel tank, exhaust pipe, exhaust, front fork outer tubes, front and rear fenders, side covers, and even the handlebars are blacked out.
It can be said that it is a vehicle that has been made up with a focus on black.Furthermore, in October 2014, W800 Black Edition was released, clad entirely in black.
World Walk has thought it would be nonsensical to install a chrome plated rear carrier on W800 that is so black.
Also, motorcycle frames are usually painted black (some vehicles use a different color).
Of course, the frame of the W800 is also painted black.Even if some parts of the vehicle are equipped with chrome parts, a black rear rack will not cause any discomfort.
Not only the color, but also the shape was made not to ruin the image of W
Modern motorcycles are becoming larger and larger due to the need for stability and safety.
But Kawasaki’s legendary W1 (Dub One). The W650 was born following that design.
The W800, the successor to the W800, followed a consistent neo-classic design line, with a compact body despite its displacement.
World Walk has designed the rear carrier for W800 so that it does not look too thick when it is mounted.
Designed to withstand the vibration of W800
The W800, with its vertical twin engine, produces a unique vibration.
This vibration is one of the most attractive features of W800, but the damage it causes to the rear carrier is not small.
The rear carrier mounting area is particularly sensitive to load.
However, there was a possibility that the folded part would be damaged by the load, so World Walk made a smooth line with a bend.
The smooth flowing design and resistance to vibration damage give this rear carrier its unique character.
World Walk has also secured the clearance so that the vibration won’t interfere with the stock blinkers
The grab bar has to be removed before installation, but since the position of the grab bar is close to the blinkers, there is a possibility of interference due to vibration if the clearance is not made properly.
However, if the clearance is too much, the strength of the rear carrier mounting area will not be maintained, so World Walk made the mounting bracket to match the bend of the blinker.
